Free Fall Devices

Professional free-fall safety equipment for recreational adventure activities is on the market since around 2010. They allow rapid descent and gentle landing from a height between 10-30meters in the standard versions.

Pioneering work in this case came from Dropezone (UK) with its Powerfan, a high-tech device that dissipates the potential energy by means of a fan, driven only by the descending person's mass.

Since 2013 another serious device is available, the "Quick Jump" from the United States. An eddy current brake slows down the initial rapid descent and lowers the rider comfortably to the ground. Eddy current brakes are used in large free-fall towers or in roller coasters.

Both devices provide an enormously thrilling experience and offer for both spectators and participants an exciting and fun adventure at a high level of safety.

Free-fall devices are safe and easy to be operated, a true alternative to bungee jumping.
